IPE DECKING DEMONSTRATION FOR FACE SCREWING

Pre-drill pilot hole into Ipe deck board using a 9/64" drill bit and adjustable drill stop to prevent drilling into joist or framing member. DO NOT DRILL INTO FRAMING MEMBER! |
After drilling pilot hole, place the T-10 Gold screw insert/driver tip into top of pilot hole. Apply pressure and depress drill for a few seconds. The insert tip's special design will create a counter-bore to accommodate the TrimTite head perfectly. This will minimize screw breakage and stripping. |

Using a slow and steady speed, insert TrimTite screw into pilot hole using the T-10 insert/driver tip. |
If necessary, spot sand above screw head using a sanding block or a small piece of sand paper to remove any possible burr. Any grit will suffice. |
